TITLE: "Heads Down EP"
ARTIST: Jon Delerious
CATALOGUE: NT019 - 12"
RELEASE : JUNE 5.2001 via Prime Distribution Worldwide

First EP on NT from Calgary producer and deep house deejay Jon Delerious, aka Jon Marchuk. Jon delivers this follow-up to his stellar debut 'Way Out' on 'Necessary Pieces 2' (NT014 CD/LP). Jon's diverse style is influenced by disco, dub and all things deep and bumpin'. This four-tracker showcases his eclectic style. Side A is decidedly old-school: from the disco slide of 'Smooth & Creamy' to the straight-up jazziness on 'Jazz Styles', this side will fill that floor in even the dankest of nightspots. Meanwhile Side B is for the smokers. Tech-house and dub take over the spot, all the while layered over some of the tightest arrangements to yet grace NT. Currently on promo, this latest EP is tearing up dancefloors around the world. Check out this reaction from Laurent Garnier (FCom) ãBeautiful deep atmosphere as usual on this great label. Will play B1 and A2, Radio + Club playsä. Along with Garnier, NT019 is recieving strong club support from David Duriez, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Woolford, Luke Solomon, Charles Webster, Rich Thair (Red Snapper), George T and Ali B (Capitol FM/Fabric) to name a few. The spaced out b-side track "Orange Eyes - Dub Revolution mix" has been licensed to Lee Burridge's Nu Breed Vol. 5 (Boxed), part of the Global Underground series.

Look for the mix in stores this July.
track listing:

TITLE: Innocent - The Remixes
ARTIST: Home & Garden feat. Colette
CATALOGUE: NT020 - 12"
RELEASE: JUNE 25, 2001 via Prime Distribution Worldwide

Tim Shumaker and Colette's nouveaux classic 'Innocent' gets the relick. The original released March 2001 on Nordic Trax (NT017) has been destroying dancefloors from London to San Francisco. DJ Magazine called it "a superbly deep yet housey vocal that sounds like Naked Music meets Circulation with all that warmth, a great vocal, chunky dancefloor-friendly beats and good percussion" (No.84) A second consecutive inclusion on Muzik Magazine's Vital Vinyl (May.01) 'Innocent' also debuted on the DJ Magazine Hype Chart (No.85 March10-23.01) at No. 23 with this to say: "Tim Shumaker, Colette & JT Donaldson bring in sweet vocals and flamenco guitars for tasty late night action.

" A warm and sexy trio of remixes from NT advocates Swayzak, Morgan Page & Gavin Froome take the floaty vocals of Colette and Tim's accomplished production to the proverbial 'next level'. Young Bostonian Morgan Page steps with his finest work to date with his massive A-Side mix. London's own Swayzak drop in for a late-night session with J. Swayzak's trippy 'Home Help Mix'. Finally, NT stalwart Gavin Froome completes the ep with his chugging remix full of organ stabs and a throbbing bassline.

Already the response on promo has been incredible with massive support from Jamie Thinnes, Marques Wyatt, Johnny Fiasco, DJ Link, Mark Farina and Hipp-E. Morgan's mix has been selected by Halo Varga (Siesta/Blume), for his forthcoming mixed-CD released for Toronto's Turbo nightclub. For all those who are looking for our latest CD release, 'Lazy Transmissions', it is available now as part of HMV Canada's "Underground Import" campaign, in all 100-plus stores from Victoria to Halifax. XLR8R ISSUE #50, May 2001 taken from Reviews: Compilations

"Luke McKeehan, founder of Canada's Nordic Trax label, mixes tracks from Gavin Froome, Home & Garden, JT Donaldon & Chris Nazuka and MTrax into one continuous, evolving groove. Home & Garden's remix of 'Trip Chick' is characteristic of the label's sound with its driving, smooth mix & rolling beats. Colette also graces Home & Garden's 'Innocent' with her sweetly resonating voice. Lazy Transmissions represents Nordic Trax in a manner that is anything but lazy - rather, each track of the release is crafted with painstaking skill."
