Beginning in 1987 with his 'Bite the Bullet EP' on Contagious Records, Silva has released a variety of tracks in a variety of styles. Joe's original mix bumps along with crisp drums & subtle stabs before a slinky hook and vocal drop. The strong track elements are given the remix treatment by previous Nordic Trax conspirators JT Donaldson (NT012) of Los Angeles and Jon Delerious (NT019) of Calgary. Currently receiving support from Halo, Murray Richardson, Fred Everything, Harri & Andrew Macari. Speaking With Sounds is dedicated to breaking down musical boundaries and the progression of modern music in Vancouver. Our first night will feature the return of Nordic Trax main man Gavin Froome to the Sonar stage. The night will also see the debut live PA from local drum 'n' bass duo Matt "Matty" Cox and Mark Soo, better known as Dune Recordings artists 'Quadra'.
